Piermont Lake Retreat

Timber frame construction allows the structure of the building to be incorporated into the aesthetics of a home. This family lake retreat is a great example of how the exposed Douglas Fir posts and beams (i.e. the elegant "bones" of a the structure) can create a beautifully warm, comfortable, rustic-yet-modern home. The structure is a hybrid of a timber frame and SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) construction by Bensonwood. All exterior siding and trim are composite materials.
