St. Patrick's Day and Amanda's Pot of Gold Adventure

St. Patty's Inspiration

The spring building season is underway, and we asked Amanda Kleintop, our in-house design consultant, to visit Lauren Nelson of LC Design Concepts, LLC in Wells River, VT, LC Design Concepts - Kitchen Design, Kitchen Cabinets, Kitchen to discuss current trends on the horizon and what long-enduring, time-tested designs will continue to inspire our clients in the coming decade. Amanda went on a pre-St. Patty's Day Adventure to visit with Lauren and search for gold and bold ideas for the spring.

As many of our clients, associates, and friends know, Housewright Construction often collaborates with Lauren Nelson of LC Design Concepts, LLC in Wells River, VT, for her kitchen design expertise. We are thrilled to announce that we have another upcoming high-end kitchen project planned with Lauren that will be underway in the next few months. This project features cabinets from Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry. The anticipation for this project is palpable, and we can't wait to share the progress with you as we begin the project. This upcoming kitchen will feature maple oatmeal cabinets (semi-transparent cream color) with a matte cherry finish on the island cabinets. The countertops are Emerstone quartz in Jasper, which looks like a creamy marble with brown veins. This choice is a testament to the enduring elegance of kitchen design. It's a design choice that will stand the test of time, always remaining a classic and timeless option for any home.

Lauren and Amanda had a wonderful visit. They discussed current trends that Lauren has seen emerging in the home market this spring, such as wood-stained cabinets, new and emerging bold (envision intense blue and orange) mixed-finish cabinet styles, and multi-tone fun (black and gold), all-around adventurous kitchens, which are a stark departure from the white and grey kitchens that have predominated the last five years. Another interesting trend they discussed is that there appears to be less interest in waterfall countertops and more interest in natural stone and quartz replicating the look of natural stone. Lastly, functionality has become the cornerstone of every design. Think drawer pullouts, inserts, dividers, and spice organizers.

In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, and after her fun visit with Lauren, our in-house design consultant, Amanda, has curated some images of stunning green kitchens. Inspired by the spring season, green buds appearing on the trees, and longer days, check out some of Amanda's favorite photos, which are trending right now.

The Upper Valley and Housewright Construction, Inc. are incredibly fortunate to have access to Lauren and her showroom. We have created beautiful and functional kitchens with Lauren's expert experience and our collaborative team approach. Check out this gorgeous panel of photos Amanda curated for your viewing pleasure for St. Patty's Day.
