Community Relationships

Businesses exist in communities that are part of a larger whole. Housewright acknowledges the responsibilities inherent in our synergistic relationships with our town, surrounding towns, people and the land. We support special community events and civic organizations both with dollars and with personal involvement.

Housewright vice president Lisa Hervey is president of the Cohase Chamber of Commerce. "We live here," she has said. "The quality of life for ourselves and our employees depends on the economic health of our region. Through our involvement with the Chamber, we're participating in a proactive way to make whatever contribution we can."

We also donate to groups and individuals in the following areas: providers of health services (especially to children and seniors); organizations supporting historic preservation and land conservation; domestic abuse relief services; public radio broadcasting; local scholarship funds and food banks. Our annual charitable contributions reflect our values.
